Please join us for a weekend in Malmö

Dainius Šilingas is visiting Malmö Takemusu Aikido Dojo in August together with many from his dojo in Klaipėda, Lithuania. During the seminar he will focus his teaching on Inagaki Sensei´s bukiwasa. Dainius has not only been uchidechi in Iwama for more than five months, but also uke to Inagaki Sensei during classes. This gives him big experience and unique knowledge that we really wants to share. During the weekend our main instructor Magnus will also teach Tai jutsu.

We welcome everyone who will come and participate this weekend but we have to inform you that even if we have a large dojo there is a limitation regarding the number of participants. It is possible to stay overnight in our dojo. The seminar is free of charge and if you want to participate in the party Saturday evening there will be a small fee.

Magnus Ohlsson 5 dan Shidoin

Magnus Ohlsson was born in 1963 and started his sports career as football player in IFK Malmö first in the youth team and later on in the Swedish junior premier league.

In 1982 he started his studies at the Royal Danish Musik Academy in Copenhagen and his football career was over. After 10 years of studies and freelancing as a musician he become a member of the Malmo Symphony Orchestra.

It was then in 1996 that 6-7 musicians from the orchestra decided to go to Malmo Aikido Club to have a test training. After a couple of years training he started as children’s trainer and a few years later also teaching adults. The instructors of Malmo Aikido Club were Mats Edholm, Rickard Nilsson and Per-Ola Olsson.

2006 Magnus started Malmo Takemusu Aikido Dojo together with Marcus Knutagård and Magnus has since then been the Chief instructor of the club. Malmo Takemusu Aikido Dojo has presently 125 members.

Malmo Takemusu Aikido Dojo follows the aikido that was taught by Morihiro Saito Sensei and now being taught and preserved by Ulf Evenås 7 dan Shihan. Through the years Magnus visited 3 seminars with Morihiro Saito Sensei and many, many  seminars with Ulf Evenås.

Every year Magnus goes to Japan to live and train in O-Senseis dojo and this year was his sixth trip. Therefore Shigemi Inagaki 8 dan Shihan has become a big source of inspiration.
